Ok; on to Part 5: “Viral Marketing and Giveaway Events PLR Style”
PLR has been known for helping marketers, entrepreneurs and coaches save time, effort and money on the nitty-gritty areas of growing their business. It has also helped many get their new businesses off the ground and fast-track their efforts to success.
I hope that the ideas I am sharing with you in this series will help your business grow as others have done.
Viral Marketing – PLR Style
Have you heard of Viral Marketing?
Viral marketing means letting your content spread non-stop to new people through word of mouth or social media sharing. With social media and networking websites sprouting up like wild mushrooms after a storm, the potential of viral spread of good content is endless.
By now you already know that viral content is good. And you also know that you can create some real cool products using PLR content. The real key is to create products that go viral – which can easily be done using PLR content.
Let’s take a PLR e-book for example, beautifully crafted, and ready-made to be sold. But hey wait a minute, why sell to a few people when you can take the e-book, give it away for free and in return ask your subscribers to share it with their friends?
Now that is the basis of viral marketing – To let good content spread like wildfire!
Here are some other viral marketing ideas using PLR: let’s stay with the example of e-books…
- You can turn PLR e-books into videos as mentioned in the earlier chapter on videos and post them on YouTube.YouTube has millions of users and is now one of the largest search engines on the web. The possibility of your personal video being spread is very high as long as the content is good. But why not submit 10 or even a 100 videos instead of one… just because you can?
- You can also “ask” your subscribers to spread your viral content for you. This can be done by giving them incentives for sharing your stuff such as free e-books, audio courses or videos. You just need to start with a small pool of followers and in no time the viral magic will bring your business tons of new hungry leads.
- Remember, the more “interactions” and “Likes” on the page, the more potential for it to be spread to the world. You can also tell your Facebook fans to share your content with other Facebook users for some mega viral promotion.
I was going to cover “Building a Membership Site with PLR” as a post in this series, but I have decided to cover it in the new video series as I feel this will require a post all of its own – so stay tuned!
With that said; As we have already covered some of the basics in previous posts I now want to start to take it up a notch and discuss ways of how you can start to recuperate your investment with ease and bring in the on-going profits using 12 powerful strategies for using PLR.
These strategies will help you not only build a solid foundation for your business, but also help make people see you as an expert in the field and a marketing mogul.
So, let’s dive into some killer strategies that can start to rake in some profits for you immediately!
Give Away Events
We are all very well aware of the importance of having a decent (dare I say; large) qualified subscriber list!
Your email list is your rice bowl. The bigger and more qualified your list, the more valuable your list becomes as an asset.
Relationships are also very important with a list. You need to be seen as a trusted expert in your niche in order for people to buy things for you.
One of the best ways to grow a list!
One of the best ways to grow a responsive, qualified list is by joining giveaway events. A giveaway event is an online gathering where marketers offer free gifts such as e-books or video courses in exchange for new subscribers.
Every marketer involved promotes the giveaway event to their own list and you will benefit from the views and clicks from subscribers of other marketers that come to the event for free gifts.
What Gifts?
If you have decent quality PLR products or content, you can use them as free gifts. You can do the conventional style by giving away an e-book or you could set the bar higher buy creating a mega-product by combining 3 e-books into one. You can also turn e-books into video courses which are better for attracting new subscribers.
Quality
The quality of your free gift ultimately determines what kind of list you will have. If your free gift can really benefit your subscribers, the chances are they will be more inclined to buy your products in the future!
That’s why, you should choose a PLR product which complements your niche or paid product so that your new subscribers will be “more inclined” to like your content and it will become easier to build relationships and hopefully sell to them in the future.

You can also use PLR to help you host your own giveaway event!
Use PLR products to attract people to join or promote your event by giving away useful content for free. Hold contests to see who can make the most referrals and reward them with books made from your PLR products.
You can use the e-books as gifts for people who joined your event or signed up to your list as a “Thank You” or just a simple gesture of goodwill.
Are you ready to go Viral?
Wanting to build your list?
Then what are you waiting for … Join a Giveaway Event?
Here’s where you can get you started! ….. Push Button Giveaways

Hi Ian, wow what a video mate. I knew discussed it Ian but I never thought you were going to explain PLR in such depth.
Right the way back to the very first PLR product and that my friend will show everyone just how much you know this subject inside out. I knew the gurus would get the hump
I really do take my hat off to you Ian and having followed this series from the very start I know that this is picking up momentum and getting better with every post, in that you’re revealing more and more that is, not the quality of your work mate which is always spot on
I’d like to thank you again for the support this week Ian, it’s been really great that we have been able to get our heads together and get all of our problems solved. We now have our own exclusive support desks…. yours and mine

Hi Barry
Thanks for dropping in and your comment mate I really appreciate it
I am really enjoying this series Barry, I am getting new ideas each week and I have to write them down now more than ever, for sake of forgetting to include them.
I am glad you liked the video mate; I might have looked as though I was so relaxed and calm but I can assure I wasn’t! It was very nerve wracking. Did you see the point in the video where my Daughter came into the room and my eyes darted over in her direction!
I don’t want to say too much about the Gurus! Already received some shall we say; informed comments as you know!
There’s still a lot more to come Barry in this series, with some nice little goodies along the way, remember to sign up to get your free copy of my new e-book at the end of the course!
I know we have spoken about the course on numerous occasions, and your input has been invaluable to me, I always come away with a little gem that I can include in the course – as always you have my gratitude mate.
No need for thanks regarding recent events over the past week mate, we helped each other a great deal, and without each other’s support I think we would have gone mad! Mind you I’m half way there already!
Thanks Barry for your continued support mate ….
Take care, catch up soon

Hi Ian
I think this is my first time visiting your blog and I have to say that I was certainly most impressed by your video, extremely informative and great real life examples used, like Barry has aforementioned, the video just further confirm how much and how well you know about PLR – I think you will be well on you way to being crowned as the PLR Master/PLR King.
Keep up the great work, and for a first video, you seemed like a natural.
Best wishes

Hi Nigel
Welcome to my blog!
Thanks so much for dropping in and sharing your thoughts, I really appreciate it.
I am really pleased you enjoyed the video and it makes me very happy if you have taken something away from it that you can use.
I have been involved will PLR for a few years now; started back in 2006 but I really started to pay attention mid 2007 … I love the subject and I love what PLR can do for anyone’s business. Anyone can use it once you understand the fundamentals and realize the impact that it can have when used in the right way.
I don’t know about being crowned PLR Master, I will be happy if I can get the message across that not all PLR is bad PLR and people after reading the posts and watching the videos come away with a better understanding of what PLR is all about, used the right way .. its pure magic!
I’ll be popping over to your blog later Nigel to have a look at your theme …
Take care my friend, catch up soon

How are things?
Thanks so much for your comment and kind words Kathy I really appreciate it
I am so loving this posts and Videos series, and it’s been made a lot easier for me with Sally’s teachings on the videos presentations they have been amazing. As is the Camtasia Software! Thank you
I am so pleased you enjoyed the video Kathy, I was a nervous wreck inside, and below the camera I was gripping my hands! Did you see the point in the video where my Daughter entered the room, my eye’s moved in her direction for a split second and I thought I was going to lose my train of thought!
I only started doing the videos since I have been on Sally’s Course, but I have been involved with PLR since 2006/2007. That 10 minute video felt like an hour!
I will be really pleased and happy if the posts and video series gives people a better understanding of what PLR is and how you can use it to benefit your business. If people can come away and say; Hey! I learnt something new today, then I’m happy.
Again thanks for your kind words Kathy and your continued support, don’t forget to sign up to the series, so you can get some free goodies along the way, and your FREE copy of my new e-book at the end of the series!
Take care and see you soon on your blog

Wow Ian,
Not only is this a great post but I loved your video. Congrats on this being your first one in front of the camera. You’re a natural my friend.
I agree with Barry, you really went into a lot of depth about how PLR came about. I never really thought about that but you are right. When I go into a store and see their brand on products, I never really thought about where they came from. PLR at it’s best.
You have really done a great job of explaining the benefits of PLR, this series has been wonderful. I’ve even learned a thing or two from this so great job my friend.
Sorry you recently had so many problems but so happy to see all is well now. I know how frustrating that can be. So, welcome back!
Have a wonderful week and I’ll see you again soon.

Great explanation Ian,
Apart from Heinz don’t make beans for anyone else….lol
(They’ll be cross & blackwell with other labels) ..haha
Nevertheless – Supermarkets don’t make product – they just get them branded… so it’s a great analogy
Even our own Lord Sugar started life branding a product made by someone else!
The other main lesson here is to ensure people DO ACTUALLY go through the product to ensure it’s quality, and then as you mentioned – put they’re own stamp on it to differentiate from other people who leave it as is!

Hi Randy
Thanks for popping in and your comment, I appreciate it mate
With reference to Lord Sugar, I believe he started out by selling Car aerials and electrical goods on a stall? Look where he is now!
Got be Cross & Blackwell ha-ha
Thanks for the update on the “Heinz” Beans Randy
You are so right Randy, that is the two main mistakes, that most people make when using PLR content; they do not check the quality and they do not make it their own! Thanks Randy for reiterating such a valid point.
Thanks again for dropping in Randy and I always value your input… popping over later to your blog!

anyways my comments needs moderation now, because now I’ve created an avatar on different email address. I hope you remember me from my old comments.

Nice to see you here again my friend
To answer your question .. No it’s not a PLR product. I have been invloved with PLR since 2006 and this series is about what I have learned over the years; tips, information and advice given to me which I am now passing on to you!
I am hopeful that you will find the course of some benefit and it helps you to understand what PLR is all about. If you have any gathering dust on your hard drive then start to dust it off, turn it around and very soon you will see the rewards of your efforts!
Thanks for dropping in Omar and your comment I appreicate it …
